Gold on Argentium™ - 5 Day - March 21-25

A sure way to make your work stand out is to add high-karat gold to create beautiful and unique designs. Fusing, fabricating and soldering will be covered in this class. 18k or 22k gold is required for this class. Up to a half ounce of gold is preferred depending on how much gold you want to incorporate. You may bring your own or purchase from the instructor. Multiple techniques will be taught in this class including but not limited to granulation, wire working, Keum-boo, and alloying, to give you the ultimate combination of gold and ArgentiumTM.

ArgentiumTM will be supplied to make 2 rings, a pair of Keum-boo earrings, and pendant or earrings (student supplies gold) The Keum-boo foil is part of the kit. The amount of gold a student requires depends on how much is used - 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz is suggested. Even a little bit of high karat gold added to a piece can make a big difference. Materials will be on hand to make other projects if time allows. Students may bring their own stones to use if desired. Projects are fabricated using no solder. 18k or 22k gold is required for this class. You may bring your own 24k or purchase gold from the instructor.
